Disc Writeup - Predator Elite |

Under 300 Feet |
300-400 Feet |
More Than 400 Feet |
| Into Moderate Wind |
Light wind will have almost no effect on the Elite Predator. |
Thrown harder, the Elite Predator will hang on to its angle and fight back left. |
Throwing really hard doesn't turn the Elite Predator to the right more than a shorter throw. |
| Into Heavy Wind |
Easy disc to control into a heavy wind (well, as easy as a shot into heavy wind can be). |
If not for the Xtreme, I might call this the best heavy headwind disc made. |
N/A |
| Glide |
The Elite Predator has almost no glide, especially at slow speeds. |
When thrown at this speed, the Elite Predator will glide a little but at the very end of its flight it will still drop off hard.
|
Same as throwing the previous distance, not a lot of glide. |
| Left Turns |
The Elite Predator will turn left very hard on shorter throws. |
This disc will fight back hard every time. |
This may be the most popular use for the pros. Unlike some left turn drivers, the Elite Predator will not "get away" from you and keep going right when you start it off this way. It will keep fighting back left the whole flight. |
| Right Turns |
Very hard to keep it going right at slower speeds. |
Not the disc for this shot. |
If you start this disc off going right, and throw it hard enough, it will go that way for a while. However, unless you start the angle off perfect, it will always end left. |
| Rollers |
Not good for most rollers except for those where you want the disc to cut to the left. |
Not the disc for this shot. |
The Xpress and Stratus are so much better for this shot. |
| Skip Shots |
It tends to skip up and left, not forward and left. Great if that's what you want. |

| Straight Throws |
Not the disc to use. |
Still not the disc to use. |
It will stay straight for a while when thrown this hard, but not for long. |
| Upside Down Throws |
The Elite Predator has a fast turn when thrown upside down which will work fine once you learn how it flies. One problem with it will be that it is harder to get a lot of distance because of the fast initial turn. |
It would be hard to throw really far upside down for the same reason. |

| Putting |
Not good at all for putting. |
| Approaching |
The only approach to consider using the Elite Predator for is a sharp left turn. |
| Distance |
This won't be the disc to set any world distance records because of the fast turn at the end. It will fly far for a "left turn" driver but these types of discs aren't the best for distance due to their lack of glide. |
| Best Beginner Use |
The Elite Predator is a great sharp left-turn driver on most holes. It is best to stick with this for these shots only. |
| Best Intermediate Use |
Once the Elite Predator is thrown hard enough to fly past the 300' barrier, then it opens itself up for other uses like "S Turns" (shots that start off right and then tail off left). However, the left turn drive is still its bread and butter. |
| Best Pro Use |
The Elite Predator is the answer for long left turn holes or long shots into headwinds. |
| Final Comments |
The Elite Predator is the answer to my prayers. If you played in the mid 1990's then you remember the original run of "Chalky" X-Clones. These are just like them but faster and more durable. It fills a small niche I'm not sure we had previously filled. This disc is a for sure winner and will be popular for some time to come! |
