Disc Writeup - Talon Elite |

Under 300 Feet |

More Than 400 Feet |
| Into Moderate Wind |
Light wind will have almost no effect on the Elite Talon. |
Thrown harder, the Elite Talon turns just a little. If you throw it with a slight left turn angle, it will get flat and then just keep on going straight. |
Just like the previous throw, it will get flat and keep going straight. |
| Into Heavy Wind |
The Elite Talon holds well into a heavy wind, just not quite as well as the X2, Predator, and Xtreme. |
The Elite Talon will turn a little here. I gave it 4 E's mainly because it is so fast that it may be the only disc that will fly this far for you. |

| Glide |
The Elite Talon doesn't glide much at slower speeds. |
When thrown at this speed, the Elite Talon will glide a little but at the very end of its flight, it will still drop off hard. |
Same as throwing the previous distance, not a lot of glide. |
| Left Turns |
The Elite Talon will turn left fairly hard on shorter throws. The MRX or even the Wasp is a better choice though. |
This disc will fight back steady every time. It won't dive straight down like an Xtreme, but will definitely go left. |
The Elite Talon tends to fly fairly straight when thrown really hard. It is still a left turn driver, but more of a slow one than an abrupt one. |
| Right Turns |
Very hard to keep it going right at slower speeds. |
Not the disc for this shot. |
If you start this disc off going right, and throw it hard enough, it will go that way for a while. However, unless you start the angle off perfectly, it will always end left. |
| Rollers |
A very bad idea here. |
Not the disc for this shot. |
The Xpress and Stratus are so much better for this shot. |
| Skip Shots |
The Elite Talon is excellent for skip shots. It will penetrate forward better than almost any other disc. Give it a shot here. |

| Straight Throws |
Turns left too fast on shorter throws for this shot. |
Still not the disc to use. |
When thrown hard, the Elite Talon will fly straight for a while before turning back. Most left turn drivers will fly straight when thrown fast. |
| Upside Down Throws |
The Elite Talon has a fast turn when thrown upside down which will work fine once you learn how it flies. One problem with it will be that it is harder to get a lot of distance because of the fast initial turn. |
It would be hard to throw really far upside down for the same reason. |

| Putting |
Not good at all for putting. |
| Approaching |
 Not good here. |
| Distance |
The Elite Talon flies really, really, really far. I'm still undecided on the whole full 360-distance shot, but for golf shots it flies far. It has a very low profile which makes it very fast. |
| Best Beginner Use |
The Elite Talon will turn really hard for beginners. It is a good choice when you want it to do that, I just wouldn't recommend trying to force it for other shots. |
| Best Intermediate Use |
Once the Elite Talon is thrown harder, it will begin to fly straighter and farther. Good for log holes that require a slight left turn and then fade at the end. |
| Best Pro Use |
The Elite Talon is great for long, low ceiling drives that turn left. It's a good choice for long, open left-turn shots but then again so are many other discs. Throw it when you need it to get somewhere fast without losing a lot of altitude. |
| Final Comments |
The Elite Talon is a very good driver for those shots for which it was designed. It is not an all-around, multi-purpose driver, but excels at very specific shots. |
