Disc Writeup - Wildcat Z |

Under 300 Feet |
300-400 Feet |
More Than 400 Feet |
| Into Moderate Wind |
The Z Wildcat is unaffected by moderate wind. |
Thrown harder, the Z Wildcat will hold its angle very well. In fact, the only difference here is that into a wind it will lose a little distance. |
Here it begins to turn just a little. This may be the truest-flying disc for this shot. |
| Into Heavy Wind |
The Z Wildcat is strong into a heavy wind. It would have gotten 5 Z's if not for the fact that I still swear by the Xteme into heavy winds. |
The Xtreme barely flies 400' in zero wind, so I'd have to say that there may be no disc better than the Z Wildcat for this shot. I still like the Elite X2 here, but I can be a bit stubborn with discs I know really well. |

| Glide |
The Z Wildcat has some decent glide, but if you really need glide on a shorter shot then use an MRV, Stratus, or XL. |
When thrown at this speed, the Z Wildcat glides ok, but not as well as a driver not designed to turn left. |
Same as throwing the previous distance, good, but not great, glide. |
| Left Turns |
The Z Wildcat will turn left fairly hard on shorter throws. It is very consistent as well. |
This disc will fight back hard when it runs out of speed, but a disc that is built to turn left all the time will work better. Perhaps the Elite Predator, X2, or Reaper. |
This disc will fight back left when it runs out of speed, but like the previous category, there are much better choices here. |
| Right Turns |
I wouldn't recommend it for this shot. |
Not the disc for this shot. |
As with all faster shots, it will keep turning right for a while if you start it out that way. However, there are discs designed for this shot, so there's no need to force this one. |
| Rollers |
Not good for most rollers except for those where you want the disc to cut to the left at the end. |
Not really the disc for this shot either. |
It will work well here, but the Xpress and Stratus are so much better for this shot that I would stick with them here. |
| Skip Shots |
Tends to skip forward and left rather than up and left. Great if that's what you want. |

| Straight Throws |
Not the disc to use. |
It will begin to fly straight when you get closer to 400'. When you are still near 300' it will turn left. |
The Z Wildcat will fly very straight when you throw it hard enough. Just figure out the angle of release and it is nearly perfect for this. |
| Upside Down Throws |
The Z Wildcat has a fast turn when thrown upside down which will work fine once you learn how it flies. One problem with it will be that it is harder to get a lot of distance because of the fast initial turn. |
It would be hard to throw really far upside down for the same reason. |

| Putting |
Not good at all for putting. |
| Approaching |
 Don't do it. |
| Distance |
The Z Wildcat flies really far off a golf tee. A lot of top pros will use this disc on longer holes. |
| Best Beginner Use |
The Z Wildcat is good for left-turn shots only. If you want a driver to go straight, choose one that is made for that. |
| Best Intermediate Use |
Perfect for long-distance, straight drives. |
| Best Pro Use |
Same as above, but also consider it for headwind drives for which the Xtreme won't work. Primarily, it will work better for longer and straighter shots than the Xtreme is capable. |
| Final Comments |
The Z Wildcat has a low profile which means if flies fast. Because of this, it will cut the wind better than almost any other disc out there. Once you get the hang of this disc into a headwind, you'll find it will take strokes off your score. |
